Bridget Belgrave's work is influenced by her training in and teaching of: mathematics, philosophy, Cecil Collin's approach to life drawing, the Alexander Technique, Energy Healing, Psychosynthesis, Effective Intelligence, Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She has been teaching NVC since 1996. She is a certified trainer with CNVC, was involved in introducing NVC in the UK and India, and leads workshops in Europe, North America and Asia. Her workshops often involve training NVC trainers and others in her innovative methodologies, such as The NVC Dance Floors (co-created with Gina Lawrie) and A Key to NVC. She continues to develop new ways to learn, teach and share NVC. She has a deep love of prayer and meditation. She also paints and writes. Bridget founded Life Resources in 1997. She lives with her husband Ruud Baanders in Oxford. She collaborates with many people, some of whom are profiled here.


Ruud Baanders has many years of experience with coaching and training of individuals and organizations, in profit and third sector organizations. He has created and managed leadership development programmes, mentoring schemes, and coaching programmes. He has experience with clients from a multitude of cultures and social backgrounds. He coaches in English, Dutch and Italian, both face-to-face and by telephone/Skype.

He is a certified trainer with CNVC (the international Centre for Nonviolent Communication), a certified coach with the International Coach Federation, has an MBA from Webster University, is qualified in Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) step 1 and 2, and is certified in Ken Blanchard’s High Performance Team process. He is also trained in NLP, is a Reiki Master/Teacher, and has been practising Zen meditation for 25 years. Ruud works in the UK and the Netherlands.

Gina Lawrie has a background in psychology, social work and management development. She has been working as an independent organisation development consultant for over 15 years in private, public and not for profit sectors. She draws on many approaches, including Gestalt and complexity theory and since 1997 has been increasingly integrating Nonviolent Communication (NVC) into her work. GIna and Bridget c-created The NVC Dance Floors. In the past Gina taught meditation and it is the spiritual basis of NVC and the way that is integrated with practical skills that is what she most values. Based in Farnham, Surrey, Gina also works in Australasia, Singapore, US and Denmark.   www.ginalawrie.co.uk


Jane Wheeler is currently director of her own company - Living Song - and works as a music consultant to ARK schools and other organisations. Previously she was Music Advisor for the London Borough of Newham, an Advanced Skills Teacher working for the Newham 'Learning and Schools' Service, and she taught B-Tech and A level Music at Newham VIth form FE College (NewVIc). While at NewVIc Jane organised the 'Nonviolent Communication and Urban Beats Project', which she co-led with Bridget. Out of this project Jane and Bridget created the 'Connect with Respect' package - a book, film and resource pack, for sharing NVC with youth in an educational setting. Jane also directs and facilitates Solid Harmony Youth Community Choir www.solidharmony.co.uk and has directed many school-based shows. Her love and experience in song-writing and performance informs much of her work and she facilitates musical creativity in her teacher-and-artist training's, with her choirs, with non-musical adult groups, and with individual students. Jane and Bridget are co-writing a musical for 9 to 11 year olds which aims to convey some core principles of Nonviolent Communication on stage.
