Give yourself the gift of a good grounding in Nonviolent Communication
A one-day workshop with Bridget Belgrave
Friday Oct 17th, 9.30am-5pm
Central London: Conway Hall, WC1R 4RL (Holborn tube)
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a practical, learnable process for developing a needs-based awareness. It brings heart, life, creativity and effectiveness to your communication with others and your connection with yourself. It enables you to shift from a world of blame, judgment, criticism and conflict, to a world of empathy, honesty, clarity and empowerment.
NVC was developed by Marshall Rosenberg, who founded the international Center for Nonviolent Communication.
This workshop gives you the opportunity to learn NVC in a small group (4 to 6 participants). The group size will maximise your engagement, and ensure personal tuition and coaching throughout the day.
We will explore the basic concepts, attitudes, practices and skills of NVC, while relating the learning to your real life situations.
This workshop is suitable for you if you are new to NVC, or if you have participated in my 'Communication...is like a Dance' one-day events, or other introductory NVC workshops.
Preparation: If you are new to NVC, to make the most of the day, both for yourself and for other participants, you are requested to prepare by committing to at least 2 hours study with recommended resources (books, DVDs, CDs, online videos).
Bridget has been teaching NVC since 1996. She was involved in bringing NVC to the UK and India, and now works internationally. She has co-created NVC training materials which are used worldwide. She is a certified trainer with the international Centre for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC).
