A one-day workshop with Bridget Belgrave
Sunday June 29th, 10am - 5pm
Central London: Conway Hall, WC1R 4RL (Holborn tube)
Done an NVC Basics or Foundation Training? Or been in a practice group for some time? Want to go further? This workshop is designed for you!
Learning Nonviolent Communication (NVC) involves content and also depth. There is an extensive range of material to learn, but perhaps most important is deepening your understanding of what you have already learned. Each time we engage in NVC we can have 'aha' moments - even when the topic is one we are familiar with. This workshop therefore gives both new content, and a chance to deepen what you already know. Come along and:
• Deepen your understanding of key elements of NVC
• Feel more confident using NVC in your daily life
• Fill in gaps in your basic NVC knowledge
• Learn new aspects of NVC
Pre-workshop learning
This workshop is suitable for people who want to have a thorough grounding in the basics of NVC, and have attended a one-day NVC Basics, a two-day NVC Foundation Training, other NVC courses of one day or more, or who have been learning NVC through at least 10 sessions of a practice group.
Learn and practice
There will be new input during the day, as well as plenty of time to practice and embed fundamental NVC skills.
Topics: personally tailored to your learning needs
Before the workshop you will have a chance to influence the focus of the workshop sessions through responding to Bridget's questionnaire about your preferred learning and practice topics.
You can select topics such as
• listening empathically
• making requests that inspire willing cooperation
• saying 'no' compassionately
• transforming anger and shame into constructive communication
Small group
The small group size (4 to 6 participants) will maximise your engagement, and ensure a high level of personal focus and coaching throughout the day.
Bridget has been teaching NVC since 1996. She was involved in bringing NVC to the UK and India, and now works internationally. She co-created NVC training materials which are used worldwide, including the NVC Dance Floors. She is a certified trainer with the international Centre for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC).
